The Gambia Revenue Authority (GRA) successfully hosted an Experts Meeting with the Senegalese Customs Administration from 16–17 July, 2025 in Banjul, as a follow-up to the 10ᵗʰ Bilateral Meeting held in Dakar.
GRA Commissioner General, Mr. Yankuba Darboe emphasized the Authority’s strong commitment to customs modernization and enhanced regional trade. He stated, "Our collaboration with Senegal Customs is not only a necessity; it is a strategic imperative for the prosperity of our two countries and the broader West African region."
Senegal Customs Director General, Mr. Babacar MBAYE thanked GRA for the warm hospitality and pledged continued collaboration to promote trade facilitation and combat illicit trafficking.

1. Trade Facilitation and Transit between the Two Countries
2. Operationalisation of Computerised Transit
3. Digitalisation of Passavant Management
4. Creation of a Senegalese Customs Attaché Post in The Gambia

7. Cooperation in Training and Capacity Building
8. Exchange of Intelligence and Data
Together, The Gambia and Senegal are leading the way for safer, smarter, and more efficient cross-border trade
