GRA IT Unit is a small team of seven professional staff with complimentary skills who are committed to a common purpose of driving GRA business process to full automation with up-to-date IT infrastructure. The Unit comprises of a Deputy Director, IT Manager, IT Systems and network Administrator, three IT Officers and one Sub Officer. We are tasked with the responsibility of implementing and administering a comprehensive IT infrastructure including Asycuda which is the database used by Customs Department for their business process. Gamtaxnet, is built specifically for Domestic Taxes department’s business process. One of our major planned activities for 2009/2010 is to roll these databases out to the different branch/border post offices located all over the country through WAN connections among other responsibilities.
